I just want my R2H!

Ok, now i’m going to sound very childish and very immature, but patience is running thin (this is coming from the kid who’s been waiting for the R2H since ASUS was announced as a UMPC partner in MARCH!).

Bottom line, If Europe got their R2H’s, when do I get mine!?!?!?!?!?

Zune will cost $249

Zune pricing is now out.  $249 to match the cost of the 30gb iPod.  I guess this is a good competitive move for Microsoft, but as for the rest of us who already have iPods, this is just another MP3 player on the market, WhooHoo! (sarcasm).

News from Redmond here.

Oh, Wednesday

Today is the day that Steve over at Carrypad said ASUS would be launching the R2H in Germany. Let’s hope we find out a bit more about release dates in the rest of the world by the end of the day.

In other news, I just ordered CSS Mastery: Advanced Web Standards Solutions by Andy Budd, Simon Collison, Cameron Moll. Ok, after reading a few reviews, i’m really rather excited to be getting this book.

And in regards to the my site redesign, well it may be a bit longer than expected. I’ve had a bit of a creativity burst, and i’ve come up with quite a few new idea’s i’d like to play with before settling on a theme. I should have the new theme up by the end of October.

Change in the works

Ok this post will be a bit of a departure from UMPC’s, which happens to be a topic that I’ve gotten myself nestled into quite a bit as of late. While the UMPC has me quite enthralled, it is not my only interest. Web design is another interest of mine which I spend a great deal of time working with, and the one I think I’ll write about a bit tonight.

So I’d say change is good. This past weekend I rearrange my room. Actually it was more of a 90 counterclockwise turn of my desk, and my futon now resides on the opposite wall. I think every now and again I think things need to be moved around and rearranged.

If you know me at all, you’ve probably picked up on my recent infatuation with WordPress themes, and the search of the “perfect” custom theme. I’ve spent more than a few nights working on making sense of how certain CSS layouts work with WordPress features. Tweaking certain features to work how I want them, molding the clay so to speak. To make a long story short, I’ve got a new theme design in the works that I’ve been working on for some time.

Next question any reader is asking is, “So when is this new theme going to be ready to go live?” considering I’ve got an exam tomorrow afternoon, and another Tuesday, and I’m not paying myself for this work, it may be a little while. However, most of my free time goes into this, so it shouldn’t be too much longer.
