I just happened to notice that Facebook now has an option to import an external blog which is displayed as “Notes.” I’ve always shyed away from MySpace blogs and bulletin posts. Between wordpress and livejournal i’ve had enough blogging to do. While to the best of my knowledge MySpace doesn’t offer the ability to import an external blog, I think this definitly puts Facebook one up on MySpace.
UMPC Domains Fetching Big Bucks at Auction
A pair of sites named for ultra-mobile personal computing (umpc.cn and umpc.com.cn), one of the hottest technologies around, fetched an eye-popping 390,000 yuan ($49,000).

The only conclusion that I can draw from this news is that while UMPC growth is slow here in the US, it seems like it is something which is, or will soon be booming in Asia. Let’s hope that popularity spreads worldwide.
Trip to Seattle: Epilogue
Ok after I finally got there the two days consisted of two or more runs for coffee, walking Donny’s dog Sumi, then the pre-lunch brainstorm, which was followed by lunch, then after lunch the coding or site setups began. At about 6 or 7PM we decided to venture out for dinner or hanging out with friends. Then after that we’d come back and code more. A bit dorky or odd for some, but a good time was had, and now i’m back in Grand Rapids.
NOTE: One week left before school starts back up.
Trip To Seattle Day 1
So I finally made it to Seattle by about 12:30PST. Yes, I ended up getting on the 925am CST flight out of Chicago. Actually i’d decided not to worry about flying stand by on that flight and just wake up for my 11:55am flight out, however I slept until 8am and then just woke up normally, decided to take a shower then head to the airport. I suprisingly made it to the airport and to the gate of the 9:25am departing plane while it was boarding. I asked if they had any open spots on the plane, and sure enough got on.
No Humidity. Well, at least that was the first thing I noticed once I got out of Seattle/Tacoma Airport. Finally made it to Donny’s apartment. After a bit of shopping for lunch and some groceries we finally sat down and started working on stuff. First thing moving this site over to a different server. Well I need to get access to my MySql database files for this to work, so we’ll find out. Other than that, the evening was just a brain dump of ideas and watching Stargate SG-1.
